Stefan Stanojević. Novi Sad, Serbia. Born 1987.
Started in 2001 as graffiti writer and since than he explore the huge visual world. Professionally worked as a designer for 10 years. Experience in a different visual fields open his horizonts, refined sensibilities and enabled to choose and build it’s own visual voice.
Stefan’s work is described as “plasticism”. His first computer modeled letters “Star” are physically painted in 2013.
Today, Stefan successfully fuse abstract, narrative, surreal, figurative, pop art and remain authentic and recognisable in huge visual world. Exploring plastic forms through an art lenses, blurring the lines between digital and physical worlds, Stefan’s work often evoke clean, sensational and glamorous aesthetics while questioning average human narratives. All works are modeled, rendered, produced and painted by the artist - in artist studio while utilizing virtuose technique.
“Its a game of exploration. I try to find certain phenomenon and catch it. Observation and articulation of form, light, color, composition, material, narrative gives me endless possibilities. I try to connect them with my inner attitudes, but these are not defined precisely - they are relative, almost melted in a feelings. If I’m excited about it, I go for it. Drive that I’m able to embodiment inner visions never leaves me alone. Its like a relief when I find it and finish it, but it’s like a constant pressure and anxiety knowing there is so much more unrevealed.”
