Loribelle Spirovski (b. 1990 in Manila, Philippines) is a trained painter and artist living and working in Sydney, Australia. Since graduating from the University of South Wales in 2012, Spirovski has been recognised for her accomplishments in art and portraiture, including being a 2017 finalist for Australia's Archibald prize. She is influenced by the work of Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud, John Singer Sargent and Diego Vélasquez.

Artistic creation has always been Spirovski's escape and fortitude against the personal challenges she experienced as a migrant, adapting to life in Australia - a vast land drenched in colour, and the murmurings of something primordial. Drawing inspiration from artists as varied as Francis Bacon, with his characteristically claustrophobic spatial relationships between figures and their surrounds, David Lynch's dreamlike surrealism, and Olivier Messiaen's static musical tones, Spirovski's own inner conflicts were perhaps the earliest and most formative influences on her art.

Mary Ronayne lives in Co. Kildare, Ireland. Ronayne collects imagery from literary sources, old prints and paintings, photographs, magazines, accruing references from variant eras and historical times, cutting and joining divergent histories and narratives - Renaissance imagery positioned alongside reconstructed magazine shots of contemporary domestic interiors hosting families incongruous to the era. Her preferred choice of gooey, enamel paint, create an illusion of blithe, cartoon-like characters and spaces, a fool’s paradise, seemingly devoid of intended political or social meaning, yet there is a Hogarthian quality to the work, a suggestion that behind the farcical lies satire and allegory, a collection not quite disclosing itself. She often paints on irregular shaped surfaces and artist made structures.

Corals have been a significant influence in the development of my flowered series due to their many forms and colors. 

 

In the face of aggressive global urbanisation and global warming, both flowers above and beneath the ocean form a beautifully defiant natural symbol that I wish to keep alive through his flower-motif-dominated works. "

Aleksandar's interest relies on topics like the fighting and the apotheosis of the cult of the human body represented in the pieces in the exhibition.  His artistic procedure is refined and stylized as a clear visual sign and references the Greek culture, especially the "Hellenistic period".
