Sougwen Chung

Sougwen 愫君 Chung is a Chinese-Canadian artist and researcher, and is the founder and artistic director of Scilicet, a London-based studio exploring human & non-human collaboration. Chung is a former research fellow at MIT’s Media Lab and is considered a pioneer in the field of human-machine collaboration – exploring the mark-made-by-hand and the mark-made-by-machine as an approach to understanding the dynamics of humans and systems. Sougwen Chung received the Lumen Prize for Art in Technology, was an inaugural E.A.T. Artist in Residence in partnership with New Museum and Bell Labs, was awarded a commission for project Omnia per Omnia, was the Japan Media Arts recipient of the Excellence Award for Drawing Operations, and more recently has been awarded by TIME Magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in AI, while also receiving their TIME Impact 2024 award and speaking at World Economic Forum Davos.

Agoria

Agoria (Sébastien Devaud) is a French multidisciplinary artist whose work explores the convergence of nature and technology. Seamlessly blending music, visual art, and science, his practice centers around generative algorithms, artificial intelligence, and biological systems. Through both sound and image, Agoria reveals the hidden rhythms that pulse beneath organic and digital life alike. Internationally recognized and acclaimed for his innovative contributions to electronic music, Agoria is known for blending techno, house, and experimental sounds into richly atmospheric compositions. Since releasing his debut album Blossom in 2003, he has continued to evolve artistically through critically acclaimed albums such as The Green Armchair (2006), Impermanence (2011), Drift (2019), .dev (2021), and Unshadow (2024). Agoria is also the founder of Sapiens Records and an important film composer, having scored numerous feature films including Go Fast and Lucky. In recent years, Agoria has expanded his practice into the realm of visual and generative art. His work frequently incorporates data from living systems to create dynamic, evolving pieces—ranging from visualizations of brain cells rendered like cosmic landscapes, explorations of how plants communicate and how human gestures repeat in patterned, poetic loops. His approach reveals the hidden codes of nature through a technological lens, creating immersive experiences that bridge art and science. His installation {Sigma Lumina}, unveiled at the Musée d’Orsay in February 2024, represents a major milestone in this evolution. In this work, Agoria reinterprets classical masterpieces using real-time data, artificial intelligence, and algorithmic processes, establishing a contemporary dialogue with historical art. This exhibition marked a historic moment, making him the first digital artist ever to exhibit in a top-tier global museum. {Sigma Lumina} is not just a reinterpretation of the past—it is a testament to how art, through technology, can evolve into living, breathing forms that reflect our times.

Maja Petrić

Lumen Prize-winning artist Petrić masterfully combines art, technology and real-time data to depict nature’s fragility. Her sculptural installation Specimens of Time: Hoh Rain Forest (2025) part of the Specimens of Time series, takes the form of a cube that pulses with light to channel live climate data. The dynamic work is designed to evoke the delicate balance of the rain forest’s vanishing ecosystem, transforming ephemeral environmental trends into a tangible visual experience. Reflecting the convergence of nature, data, and human experience, her work offers a lasting impression and a poignant reminder of the interconnected continuum we inhabit.

Seduced by the whole existence and the love of the universe, Lyès celebrates the energy of life. Inspired by mindfulness and spirituality, the artist is attracted by reality and our perceptions of it. Lyès’ work, named 'Source', shows the energy and the natural forces present in all people, all places, all times and all materials. The artist portrays the celebration of life using wall sculptures and installations, with a prediction for monumental artworks.

Roope Rainisto

Roope Rainisto (born 1979) is a Finnish artist, designer, and photographer based in Helsinki, known for his pioneering work in AI-generated art. A lifelong photographer – he received his first camera at age 13 – Rainisto has pursued creative expression across mediums, from writing and music to filmmaking. This diverse creative background, coupled with his design career, instilled in him a strong foundation in storytelling and problem-solving that now informs his art. In the early 2020s, Rainisto began experimenting with generative AI as an extension of his photography practice. During the COVID-19 lockdowns, unable to travel, he turned to AI “virtual cameras” – using image-generation tools to explore imagined scenes just as he would explore the real world with a camera. Around 2021 he started self-teaching AI art techniques, progressing through early algorithms to modern tools like DALL·E and Stable Diffusion. An early milestone was winning Claire Silver’s second AI Art contest in 2022(with his video piece “Temporary”), which brought him to the attention of the AI art community. Rainisto’s breakthrough came with Life in West America (2023), a collection of AI-generated “post-photography” that presents a surreal yet familiar vision of the American West. Released on the BrainDrops platform in February 2023, the 500-piece series sold out within one minute of launch and has since become one of the highest-valued AI NFT art collections.

Emily Xie

Emily Xie is a visual artist and ex-software engineer. Her rich digital compositions combine her sharp creative eye and passion for art history with her deep knowledge of computer science. What's so striking about her work is just how textural it is. She brings together many different patterns and surfaces inspired by tangible forms of media like textiles, collage and embroidery. "When you're using code to mimic something that's deeply material and deeply textural, I think that's pretty fascinating," she says. And the results are transfixing. Her artworks perfectly balance opposing forces – randomness and control, structure and fluidity, abstraction and representation. Despite her success in the art world and NFT space, Xie never expected to become a full-time artist. "Coming from an immigrant family meant that I carried a lot of the expectations that came of that. So I pursued a more practical path, which for me came in the form of software engineering." But art had always been a part of Xie's life. As a student at Havard, she even majored in Art History and Architecture. Ultimately, Xie had the best of both worlds: art and technology. Then, in 2021, a friend told Xie about NFTs. "It dawned on me that my favourite hobby could actually become my career", she later reflected. Since then, Xie has become a renowned generative artist with a dedicated collector community.

Ivona Tau

Ivona Tau is an award-winning generative A.I. artist who works in the intersection of arts and technology, and is one of the most prominent artists on the digital collectible art scene — currently in the top 600 bestselling creators. Working with experimental photography and motion painting, she uses neural networks and code in an effort to evoke emotions and create universally relatable memories through AI tools. Ivona’s work has been showcased worldwide, including at Frieze London, Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Week Shenzhen, as well as on the world’s busiest crossroads in Times Square, and in Tokyo’s Shibuya. Her work, VISIONS: reflected was recently auctioned at Sotheby’s for more than 20 thousand dollars.

Kevin Abosch

Kevin Abosch (born 1969) is an Irish conceptual artist who works across traditional mediums as well as with generative methods including machine learning and blockhain technology. Abosch's work challenges conventional notions of identity, value and truth by posing ontological questions and responding to sociological dilemmas. Abosch's work has been exhibited throughout the world, often in civic spaces, including The Hermitage Museum, St Petersburg, The National Museum of China, The National Gallery of Ireland, Jeu de Paume ( Paris), The Irish Museum of Modern Art, The Museum of Contemporary Art Vojvodina, The Bogotá Museum of Modern Art, ZKM (Zentrum für Kunst und Medien) and Dublin Airport. He lives in Paris and teaches at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.

Gordon Cheung

Gordon Cheung is an internationally acclaimed multi-media artist who was born in 1975 in London to Chinese parents. His work is found in major museums including The British Museum in London, The Museum of Modern Art in New York and The Asian Art Museum in San Francisco, to name a few. Cheung’s artistic research is focused on exploring themes related to history, politics, culture, mythology and religion. By employing an avant-garde approach to painting, he creates mesmerising spaces where the virtual and the actual worlds are no longer clearly discernible. His dreamlike visions are charged with symbolic elements and are generated through digital manipulations, appropriated images and animations. Continuously striving to open up new dimensions for reflection, his work ponders over both past and current affairs in our capitalistic society, presenting an innovative artistic language which has gained him global reputation. Cheung obtained a Masters of Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art in London in 2001 and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London in 1998.

Zheng Lu

Zheng Lu (born 1978 in Inner Mongolia, China) works and lives in Beijing. Zheng Lu studied at Lu Xun Fine art Academy from 1998-2003 and then at the prestigious Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing from 2004 until 2007. While still in school, Zheng was awarded with LVMH Prize, which provided the artist with three months training at The École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, ENSBA, Paris. Zheng’s artistic practice mainly revolves around sculpture and installation works with steel structure, but it includes also two-dimensional works, multimedia projects, and public art.
