Scorpios announces an all-female lineup for the 2025 season of its signature summer art programme, Encounters. This year’s edition ‘Ever After’ features four visionary artists whose work spans immersive installations, live performances, and curated digital art drops—unfolding across Scorpios’ iconic beachfront locations in Mykonos and Bodrum. Each artist explores new dimensions at the intersection of ritual, code, and digital experience, making this season a bold celebration of female creativity and innovation.

Scorpios, the renowned beachfront destination and creative gathering places in Mykonos and Bodrum, announces the return of its annual summer arts programme, Encounters, in partnership with HOFA Gallery. Dedicated to immersive art, ritual and digital storytelling, this experimental cultural initiative now in its third season brings together a powerful all-female line-up of pioneers in generative and digital art: Maja Petrić, Operator, Sasha Stiles and Krista Kim.

Launching on 25 July 2025, the programme features special installations and immersive performances across Scorpios’ two iconic locations, with additional curated digital art drops released via Scorpios Collect.

Since its debut in 2023, Encounters has quickly established itself as a defining platform for immersive and digital art. The programme has attracted over one million visitors, generating millions in artwork sales, and contributing $1.5 million to support rainforest preservation. Celebrated digital artists such as Refik Anadol, Sougwen Chung and Random International have played instrumental roles in shaping its creative identity and global reputation.

In 2025, Encounters returns with a new curatorial theme:‘Ever After’ a reflection on how creativity, code and ritual can help us design lives that grow, adapt and endure. Inspired by the rising pursuit of longevity and wellbeing, the programme turns to artists whose works invite transformation: evolving over time, responding to their environment, and creating space for collective engagement.

This year’s edition features four leading voices in digital creativity all recent winners or finalists of the inaugural Digital Art Awards at Phillips London whose practices explore the enduring themes of memory, vitality and change. Stiles casts poetic mantras as sculptural projections; Operator conjures trance-inducing rituals through live-coded movement and sound; Kim creates meditative digital landscapes shaped by collective input; and Petrić sculpts data into light, reflecting the rhythms of the natural world.

Ania Catherine (b. 1990, US) and Dejha Ti (b. 1985, US) are an artist duo whose collaborative practice, Operator, develops critical and conceptual approaches to experience. With Ti’s background as a multimedia artist and HCI technologist, and Catherine’s as a choreographer and performance artist, they engineer medium-agnostic output, joining environments, technology, and the body. Their exploration into privacy began with their performance installation On View (2019), commissioned by SCAD Museum of Art, and continues with the Privacy Collection, a durational release of works exploring the tension between privacy and transparency in blockchain technology. For their most recent work Human Unreadable, they created an on-chain generative choreography method.

Operator has been awarded The Lumen Prize (Generative Art in 2023, Immersive Environments in 2021) ADC Awards (Gold Cube), S+T+ARTS Prize (Honorary Mention), and MediaFutures. They have spoken at events and institutions including University of Cambridge, Christie's Art+Tech Summit, Art Basel, ZKM, Francisco Carolinum Museum, Bloomberg ART+TECHNOLOGY, and MIT Open Doc Lab. Originally from Los Angeles and currently based in Madrid, Spain.

Maja Petrić

Lumen Prize-winning artist Petrić masterfully combines art, technology and real-time data to depict nature’s fragility. Her sculptural installation Specimens of Time: Hoh Rain Forest (2025) part of the Specimens of Time series, takes the form of a cube that pulses with light to channel live climate data. The dynamic work is designed to evoke the delicate balance of the rain forest’s vanishing ecosystem, transforming ephemeral environmental trends into a tangible visual experience. Reflecting the convergence of nature, data, and human experience, her work offers a lasting impression and a poignant reminder of the interconnected continuum we inhabit.

Specimens of Time Mykonos, 2025
Specimens of Time: Mykonos is part of an ongoing series of generative light sculptures that bottle the atmosphere of pristine natural environments—preserving their presence as luminous artifacts for a time when they may no longer exist.

This outdoor sculpture responds to the shifting conditions of the Aegean—sunlight, wind, and environmental data—transforming these inputs into a constantly evolving field of light and reflection. During the day, lenticular lenses and mirrored surfaces fracture the sunlight into layered, refracted motion. As the wind moves and the data changes, the sculpture pulses, shifts, and breathes. After dark, generative lighting composition —linked to environmental metrics—animates the sculpture with quiet, living intensity.

Built on a custom base with an open scaffolding structure, Specimens of Time: Mykonos is not a depiction of nature, but a sensory imprint of it—a glowing memory rendered in form and light.

Krista Kim

Krista Kim is a digital artist and founder of Techism (2014), whose work explores the concept of digital consciousness. Her interest in digital technology and its revolutionary effects on human perception, media, social structures, and communication led her to work in both digital and physical realms. Having developed her signature language of shifting gradients using digital software since 2012, her works on glass and plexi hypnotize its viewers into a trance of tranquility while her immersive video works provide meditative experiences of color and light. Kim is also the Co-Founder of Creative Immersive Production Studio, 0Studio.ai.

In 2020, Kim continued to explore the creative potential to utilize screens as digital instruments of well-being by creating 'Mars House': a completely virtual environment using her digital zen philosophy as the first “Metaverse home” for sale as an NFT in history. The piece received global acclaim and in March 2021 was the highest-grossing sale on an NFT on SuperRare.

In 2014, as a response to society's over-reliance on technology, she started the Techism Movement, a philosophy that recognizes technological innovation as an artistic discipline, encouraging artists to promote digital humanism for our digital culture.

Sasha Stiles is a first-generation Kalmyk-American poet and language artist whose award-winning work bridges tradition and innovation through hybrid poetics, generative imagination, and collaborative intelligence. Her transmedia practice reframes poetry as both art and technology — encoding human experience across space and time — while blending text, image, and algorithm to explore the role of human voice in a digital age.
